The TRD supercharger kit, designed and manufactured by Magnuson Products from the basic Eaton M62 Generation IV· supercharger, was only available for the earlier 1MZ-FE engine. With the original drive pulley size, it produced 5 psi in the 3.0 liter engine, but required about 35 hp to drive it.
Toyota used to sell a supercharger kit through TRD for the 1MZ up to 2000 without VVTi. The VVTi makes this installation a no-go on the later 1MZ and 3MZ engines. Correct. We put the TRD on a 1mz out of an Avalon and shoved it in a 96 mr2. Jun 4, 2013 · The 1MZ-FE is an economy V6. It actually has is in the name. 1 is for the number of model in the series. MZ is the series of the bottom end. The F is for the shape of the head which is designed for fuel economy head vs the G which is a performance head you would find typically with the JZ series engine.

Make sure your shift cables are from an MR2 turbo. Regarding axles--If your car was a non-turbo, you will need to change the rear axle hubs and wheel bearings to those used in the turbo. MR2 turbo axles are then required. Unlike the nonturbo, the passenger side turbo and Camry/Solara V6 axles have a carrier bearing.

In Australia they (TRD) does make a supercharger for their 3.5 2GR-FE Aurion, but I wouldn't want to be the first trying to make it work on my wifes 2009 HL.
