Mar 4, 2016 · Tips: 1) Measure runout 10 mm from outer edge of rotor; rotor should be installed with all 6 lug nuts torqued to 82 lb-ft when checking. 2) If runout > max, check bearing play and axle hub runout normal before replacing rotors. 3) If rotor stuck on hub, use an M8-1.25 bolt in holes on rotors to break it free.

FWIW, I'm a second owner and sitting at just over 50k miles on original fluids.so based on my inspect, it's mostly not the axle (wheel ) seals that're leaking. the rear diff fill plug is very dry but the drain plug, well, it's the lowest part there so although it's wet it doesn't prove anything. the pinion seal is hard to tell although it's moist as it's also beneath that dripping "bar".

If you happen to have coveted TE with the locking rear diff that still doesn't require the limited-slip additive. The seal from Toyota is ~$20 and takes maybe 30 minutes to swap out. Yeah you're supposed to change the brake shoes as well if they are saturated with diff fluid, but I often clean them good and don't have problems. Just remember, Toyota specs a straight 75 Winter transfer case oil, it costs ~$40/L and 1.1L is required.The biggest tip when doing this is to remove the FILL plug before the drain plug. Wait 10 min, re heat with torch and I guarantee that bolt will come loose with any breaker bar.
