previously been able to cook apples pears mushrooms etc all in the pot on the fire & stove - but recently been unable to do so without burning all items in pot - still works by placing food item on stick and holding at fire, mushrooms until cooked seem to give only hydration.I like the addition of being able to dry, smoke, and cook meat in the small stoves in houses, but inurgently needed to cook some steak to eat and wasn't near a house, crafted a fireplace and drill kit as normal, but then couldn't attach a steak to the long stick like before? When I returned now (after roughly 2 days), the cooking pot was placed on the spot. The meat was inside it (rotten). When I dug backpack out, all was fine, only thing missing was that pot. Its faster than roasting things in a grill, stone, lid. You can cook more food at the same time than when you use a stick. Food do not lose 25% of water like when you bake something.
