Went solo legendary as my first run, and good lord... It's balls fucking hard at times. Crimson and Trinity Ghoul carried me through my run. I fine-tuned my Nightstalker perks and exotic to make the most of the hit-and-run playstyle that kept me alive, and getting a boost to 1520 at the end felt awesome!
Witherhoard Calus, use a scout to shoot his homing orbs. Duck behind cover, mostly ignore adds, and don't stay on any one platform for more than 20 seconds or so. When a dominator spawns, focus on it while keeping away from it. Shoot the shoulders, then the chest. Headlong took me 2 tries with anarchy and a kinetic GL. I have been on Desperate Measures for well over 3 hours. Solo'd the whole campaign on legendary up until this point. I am now switching to normal so I can finish the fucking campaign. Bungie, this is absolute dogshit encounter design. Trash. Garbage.
Grapple melee the hobgoblins and use the tangles for more add clear. Once you take down the Wyvern, just keep grappling and hiding on the ledges until you have to move for the death wall. Witherhoard pulls double duty as tick damage and easy add clear, again highly recommended.
