Nov 24, 2018 · 5.7. Has to be the gas swirl/air coming back hard enough to kick off the pump. I know on the first year Titans when they came out, this was a big issue, and I had it on mine at certain stations all the way to the end. If the gas pumped super fast, I usually had to put it down a notch or else pull the nozzle a little further out of the tank.
Fuel gauge would just drop to empty. I'd fill it up and it would only take maybe 10 gallons. Took it to the dealership and they found the fuel pump completely cracked/separated (see attached). Was in the shop for 2 days and cost $1,030 for parts, labor and gas to repair now in 2023 (no warranty coverage on it).I'm getting my 23 gallon tank replaced end of this week for the same issue. Tried all the angles, etc, just wouldn't take fuel for more than 10-15 seconds at a time. Makes for a very long fillup.
