Unfortunately he didn't update it for 2.9, and so I, with my many years and hundreds of hours of RLCraft experience, decided to try to make my own guide for 2.9 using the similar style of a doc with images and explanations.Open curseroge > find rlcraft> click on 3 dots> open file> mods> drag and drop optifine in mods folder. Download which ever shader you want for 1.12.2 Find shaders in rlcraft file folder> drag and drop unziped shaderspack in the shaders folder> click play> once loaded in click options> shaders> select shader pack> apply> enjoy.
I think that might be the problem because you need the 1.12.2 version of optifine since rlcraft runs on that one. Or try lowering your shader settings which can be done by going into the shaders menu and in the bottom right there should be an option called shader options. The options vary for different shaders so you will have to google what some of them mean. On a completely different note, you could just have your frame rate capped
Anyways, some shaders would be great to have on a RLCraft play through. My PC specs are: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Six-core processor (3.40 GHz) 16 GB of ram. 64-bit. Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3GB. Ive tried several and shaders with rlcraft is just a performance nightmare. I have an rtx 2060 playing at 1440 so that hurts performance alone though.
