Keep it short, keep it large gauge. There are two problems with using an extension cord. 1) Fire. The resistance of the wire in any conductor causes heat to be generated when current is flowing. The longer the cord and the smaller the gauge, the more resistance and the more fire danger. 2) Motor damage. There are a few other treadmill makers. I use a third party treadmill infront of a 40” tv in my basement. Works great to stream the peloton classes. Don’t think peloton tread is worth it until they bring the tread+ back. You can find treadmills for half the cost that can do those speeds and inclines that will last a decade. The Peloton is a good treadmill, no doubt, but you do have a lot of options even at $2,500.
