Doesn't quite work as well with flat screens though. In my area it’s because the living rooms are so small, the only wall is above the fireplace which is too tall. If it’s over a fireplace, EVER, it’s too high (never understood how this dumb trend started). If you’re seated, and the bottom of the TV is even a single centimeter above you’re eye level, it’s too high.
