My 2015 did the same thing, radio, bluetooth and steering wheel controls all worked but display was black. My guess would be bad solenoid. Do you have a test light? If so, you should always have 12v power on the terminal from the batter and the coil terminal that it is connected to. Then, with the controller moved and direction but down, you should hear the solenoid click and have +12v power on both sides of the solenoid (large terminals).

Bad Fish stik. Well the 9.6 X-V we had installed a week ago worked for about 13 hours before deciding it had had enough and stopped working all together. It started off working intermittently in the second storm and after a few hours was completely dead with only an occasional command working. The plow was installed by Portsmouth Ford in N.H.

It could be that simple. While your in there (and have verified the bulbs are good),unplug the headlight adapters and plug the stock wiring back in and see if it works. If it does, it's on the plow side (wiring,module,etc).If it still does not work it's on the truck side.
The small wire is what tells the solenoid to send the power to the pump on the plow. If you jump that solenoid ill bet the plow pump will run. Im confident that big red power supply has nothing to do with your controller and if you left that unplugged everything else would power up. Now, going back to your controller, its needs power from 2 places.

Pull the fuse and check it/ swap it out. Don't tell me it "looks" ok cause unless you test it it's only speculation. If that fuse is good folllow the wire to power source ( another fuse in the panel or splice under the dash ) and check that source.
