The 351W stroker crank is a good bit lighter than the stock 400 but I doubt it'll be a one-for-one swap.

Yes, you can use a 4.25" stroker crank for a 351W in a 400. However, you need a specific timing chain set that is made just for this swap. You CANNOT mix and match components to "make your own" set because the 351W crank sprocket has a different tooth count.
