I was trying to determine the manufacture date and went to the Glock Research Project. This date code identified the production date but Glock stopped putting these on the guns a long time ago. In this picture you can see the serial number on the left and the date code "BTT" on the right hand side of the barrel.

Glock "date codes" were on early Glocks that had barrels proofed in Austria. They included a 3 letter date code that was separate from the serial number indicating the proof date.
