Opened the case to find plastic teeth missing on one of the gears. Motor was running (making noise) but door drive gear wasn't moving at all. Could be what you are experiencing with yours. I approach the car open the door and the noise starts after 30 seconds or so and lasts less than 5 seconds. It only does it once initially and you don't here it again while car is running.3.
