Is it $1500 better, prolly not but it is better. Staccato is like entry level if you really look at high end 2011. 2. The CS is a little bit snappier than the C2, but fits better in the hand for many and is a little easier to conceal. As for the magazines, the C2 is compatible with the rest of the Staccato family while the CS is not. It's almost certain that future models will have the CS magazine, as it is thinner with same capacity. The Staccato P is absolutely worth every penny. Picked up my Staccato P DPO with aluminum frame and threaded stainless steel barrel. The first magazine through it at 10 yards made one large ragged hole. It is hands down the best shooting pistol I own. Even better with an optic. Eh. Yes, with the caveat being is there a point of diminishing return where you aren't gaining anything by having a Staccato over another duty pistol. $2800 would buy you a ton of supplemental training and ammo for your current pistol that would make you an overall better tactician, shooter, and asset.

I've decided my next purchase will either be a stock c2 duo or a somewhat tricked out m&p 2.0 compact 4". These two pistols fit my hands the best, but I have no experience shooting either. Both would be topped with a holosun 507C Vulcan red dot. I'd add a Floyd's edc magwell and send the m&p to Agency Arms for their trigger upgrade.

It comes down to what you want to do, The XC is a nice range toy, you cant really compete with it in a comp though, it put you in the open class and you are up against true open guns. You can do it, you are just gonna be out gunned. The P allows you to do much more if you are into the competition side of things.

The weight is a big part of my decisions. My m18 shoots way better than the P365X does and fits my hands much better. The M18 weighs 2.2 lbs loaded and optic compared to 1.4 lbs for the P365X loaded and optic.
