I get code p0300, random cylinder misfire, and sometimes one or more codes to a specific cylinder (P030X). There are no symptoms - no engine running rough, doesn't die, etc. I can't reliably reproduce the code after blowing it out with the reader, but so far it seems off-roading or bumpy roads (vibration) will set it off. None of which has worked.

Apr 19, 2018 · The P0300 is a misfire, maybe you have a plug wire that isn’t seated right and the moisture is shorting something. It would go away with heat from the engine. You could try replacing your plug wires. P2096 is a downstream code for too lean. Until you sort the misfire you can probably ignore this. Would not rev past 4,500 RPM then CEL started blinking and threw P0300, P0302, P0305 and went into limp mode. Pulled over, turned it off, waited 2 minutes, turned it on, ran fine. Runs fine putting around town, runs fine at part throttle on the highway. Full-throttle off idle to 4,800 RPM 1st gear to 2nd gear shift-point, only a slight spark ...A P0300 is generic for a misfire.
