Very few processes in PixInsight are well-documented. While this process has been described dozens of times (hundreds of times?) in the user forums I am not aware of it being included in any formal PixInsight documentation. This is a continuation of our PixInsight for Newbies workshop. Now that you've begun to harness PixInsight’s powerful toolkit, it’s time to take it up a notch. In 'Next Steps for Newbies,' Ron and Warren will expand on the basic workflow with the following powerful tools and techniques for both One-Shot Color (OSC) and Monochrome cameras:Guys, I just wanted to share a process I came up with in pixelmath that I call Narrowband Normalization that allows you to normalize SHO or HOO (or HOO from a OSC) data in a drag and drop process. I use the offset/scaling normalization method to match the OIII and or SII to that of the Ha signal. I created a video on how this works listed below.If you are trying out fast imaging, keep in mind that even if the sub-exposures are fast, your total integration time still matters. I resolved the issue by a clean install of the OS and then a new install of PixInsight. Not optimal but there appeared to be something in my migration from an M1 Mac to the M3.
