Vah Ruta is usually the first Divine Beast most people do, so it's not super hard. A fun challenge, but remember to shoot it in the face in it's second phase. Vah Rudania is also pretty easy if you just attack and attack and don't give it any time to retaliate. Shooting it in the face is definitely a good idea.

If it's your first playthrough, the game will try to pull you toward Ruta. But seriously the best divine beast to get first is vah naboris and thunderblight ganon.
