Peltier marble identification.

In this video, we discuss the Peltier National Line Rainbo marbles. We explore the nicknames and show examples of collectable NLRs and other pre WWII collect... Bifurcated = Two different colors of base glass, a different color base on each side of the seams. Example, green base on the left (like a Dragon) and blue base on the right side of the seam (like a Superman). Flip Flop means two different colored ribbons but across from each other, opposite the seam. So for example, two red ribbons on the left ...These are just under 5/8" at about 19/32". They have a translucent or transparent "fisheye" that light shines through from one end of the marble to the other. I bet some of these get tossed as regular game marbles. As for the name, I believe Chuck Garrett may have named this marble, but I am not certain. I believe there are variations to this marble. That some are translucent and possibly some that are opaque that exist.

The brown opaque base shown is one of the hardest too find, especially with (blue av). This blue av in Peltier is not that easy to find. There is another one (similar) in style but has an opaque dragon green base and the green has av in it, but ribbons colors are (not) blue and pink.

But I think every single swirl company made these and without strong traits, they are near impossible to tell, especially in photographs. These and white in clear are the worst to ID. Both circled in the photo are (Peltier Peerless Patches) I am very aware of the Virtos and some have the yellow patch but in comparison, they are different. This has the inner/outer composition of a beautiful green family type probably being an earlier type of a possible NLR. I think it's got AV.. not UV reactive. The blue/red/purple one is a bit larger around 5/8 inch. It's transparent. The marble has two wide opaque white bands, alternating with two thinner translucent blue bands. There are usually two or three transparent pink stripes on each white band. There can be some particular characteristics for determining the type of Peltier Marble as shown belowHere is the later Rainbo type (photo source unknown - but it's in my archives) In either case, Peltier Bloodies are neither rare nor expensive. I have nearly 50 examples of the 3/4" NLR type in my collection. I bought a box of 25 of them for $2 apiece from a marble dealer who knows his stuff.
