But really, I think anesthesia is a great field. It’s too bad it became what it is today with mid levels, but that’s becoming true of all specialties at this point.

Combined IM/anesthesia is a dumb idea and a waste of time. It may improve your knowledge, but it does not improve your chances of getting a job. It is impractical. You will end up practicing one or the other. If you try to be both a PCP and an anesthesiologist, you will just end up being mediocre at both.

Didn't cram with them but read them both in the month or so leading up to the exam. Solidified the knowledge.I'm a CA-2 right now. Dr Marsh is still the PD, and does have equal weighting in interviews/selection as the other attendings who are involved. Dr Marsh does a ton of research, and administrative work.
