Play how you want but personally multihit for me just makes the game way too easy. It invalidates guns as that is their purpose, taking on large groups of zombies, and isn't realistic in my opinion to be hitting multiple zombies that are stacked on each other with weapons that cant possible manage to swing through a zombie in one hit. 5.

Most people talk about multi hit without knowing the weapon stats. Even with with multi hit on, there is a limited amount of zombies you can hit at once with said weapon. Many weapons are limited to 2, some bigger one its 3 but rarely more unless modded. 2 isn't that much when you are facing a horde of 50zombies.

Hammer is the best one. The lower damage over the other short blunts doesn't matter for number of "hits to kill", what matters is that it weights 1kg, so it uses less endurance per hit than the ones that weight 1.5kg. Less endurance used equals more zombies killed before you have to rest.

It will last you for a long time, have good reach, do more damage than a frying pan, and have a good multihit number.
