As The Blade of Frontiers, Wyll is supposed to be using rapiers as his main weapon. As a Pact of the Blade Warlock, he’ll be able to bind and effectively use any weapon in the game. Which is good, as there aren’t that many good rapiers in Baldur’s Gate 3. But then partway through Act 3, we will be able to find Duellist’s Prerogative.Bladelock is proficient in any weapon it binds to, and scales with Charisma instead of Strength/Dexterity, so you can pretty much use any weapon you pick up.Bladelock honestly doesn't fit the concept as neatly as the other two imo, but it has the advantage of only needing Charisma since you can use it for both skills and attacking. That's basically it tho, nothing else about Warlock really leans into this concept. Lastly, a note on Fighter: They kinda lose the charismatic aspect completely.I'm currently playing as a Sword Bard / Warlock Mutliclass and planning to go into Pact of the Blade. You can take pact of the blade to use a great sword but then you can’t take pact of the chain which would get you the find familiar spell. Eldritch knight is the better of the two options for what you want. Personally, I’d suggest a ranger.
Paladin is the other common martial multi. Warlock can realistically pair with any of the martials for third attack, though. 5/5/2 gloom/lock/fighter, 5/7 lock/battlemaster, 5/7 lock/tiger barbarian, etc are all solid in tactician bc of third attack. Going 6/6 warlock/sorc for quickened haste or spells is also a good martial class imo.
