There's only two ways to have multiple save files. You can start a new save file in master mode while keeping your current file in regular mode. If you're playing on the switch you can create another user and start a new game on that. My son wants to play, but he would like to be able to have his own save …So yeah, in there you have to folders, "local" and "remote", plus the file "remotecache.vdf", copy the two folders to whatever backup place you want. Now to start fresh you need to delete the save data withing the menu of the game. Then to load your old save just copy the two folders back to their original place and overwrite everything.This save file is heavily edited so make sure to back up your own save!
