F150 air conditioner not blowing.

Received 26 Likes on 24 Posts. There is a check valve in the line to the engine from the vacuum reservoir. It is defective most likely. When you climb a hill, the manifold vacuum falls, and is not strong enough to hold the A/C vents from their spring-loaded default position of defrost, so the air goes to the windshield.Might be a low charge and the evap is freezing up.
