Oct 28, 2021 · I've read multiple threads - especially outside of Steam - where Tinkerer was identified as the worst class in the game. In the least, it is difficult to find folks who seem to think they are even average. Yet, I've not really encountered detailed explanation other than two generic points: 1) healing is bad in this game, and Tinkerer is a healer primarily; and 2) Tinkerer does not scale well ... Brute, you're going to need someone to take point and take the hits for the group. The brute is much better at this than the Craigheart I'm playing with a 4 player group, and the brutes ability to mitigate damage and redirect attacks is essential. Plus, you're team won't have a lot of healing so grab lots of potions.Personally, I feel like the strongest hitting attacks (like Enhancement Field and Ink Bomb) are more likely to be strong with just straight added damage, since the Tinkerer has a great toolkit of unique tools (and I feel like blurring the line would get boring and redundant).You can tank,fight in melee (not that great without loss cards), heal, deal solid ranged damage, true damage and most importantly block enemy's. The brute is a bit better at tanking and has a bit better single target DPR. The only way I see tinker deal more damage than cragheart is when the scenario ends really fast and tinker just burns cards for damage from turn 1 on.
