Yes. You need to force all of the def system components (in a nutshell) to run their tests with a scan tool to clear these sorts of def system messages and functions. Deleting the L5P DPF will remove not only the DPF but also the DOC and SCR components, and the need for DEF fluid. The EGR must be deleted separately.
