Had to send it in to Kimber for them to fix. Got it back and it still jammed with some federal hydrashok 135g JHPs. Sent it back into Kimber a second time and they polished the feed ramp. Found the only ammo that would work it was Magtech 115g JHPs. I have a springfield XD 9mm that I haven't had much problems with and the Kimber was my first 1911.

Jan 8, 2012 · I switched from EDC Glock 23 to the Kimber Pro Carry II then after about a year I obtained a Ultra RCP II and it has become my EDC. All in .45 ACP. I kept my Glocks as I like the platform but those damm 1911's keep calling me back. I have even switch from my IDPA gun a Glock 35 to a S&W 1911 9mm Pro, just to keep the platforms the same, 1911 style.

Weight is not an issue with a good holster and belt set up. Without the right gear, you are going to have carry problems regardless of whether the frame is aluminum alloy or steel. As for caliber, I personally prefer the .45 ACP. With the right mags, the Pro Carry II 9mm is fine; however, it's not for me.May 16, 2015 · I own both the P938 and a Kimber Ultra Carry CDP II.
