It's only an issue with some 2020 lemons, exacerbated by reddit's nature as an echo chamber. My 2020 7i, marketed as hingebreak galore (by reddit) did not deliver on this promise. I'm thinking i've got a lemon unit as it didn't break as advertised. The 2021 Legion 7 has no hinge breakage issues, also thanks to the echo chamber.
