Epic definitely has quirks but those quirks make it unique. Lastly, the main thing that often gets overlooked is how NCL built so many ships post Epic with most of Epic's features. The atrium and casino being central are almost identical to BA, GA, Escape, Bliss and Encore. The spa on Epic may still be the largest spa at sea.The Encore is a far more 'modern" ship than the Epic. If you are looking for quiet spot's to read then I would certainly pick the Encore for the Waterfront on deck 8 for outdoor couches and chairs and the Observation lounge on deck 15 for indoor relaxation. The specialty restaurants and MDRs are all similar enough to every other NCL ship. Epic entertainment is meh…but that’s becoming more of the norm across NCL fleet. I was at red rock resort and spa in Las Vegas last week and it cost $25 per day to use the spa. And the view from the aft facing Epic spa is a lot better.
