The 2001 has a Magnetti Marelli EFI and you will need the wiring harness and more if yours doesn't have the MM EFI. With the amount you will likely spend to do the conversion you can probably buy a later model used TwinCam ready to ride. Good luck and post pictures if you decide to do it.

One other thing you should do to help with the life of the bigger engine is to install a larger oil cooler. With the added size of the engine and the weight of your trike kit and passenger the bigger engine will run hotter. I use Amsoil 60wt synthetic in my engine to help keep the temps lower.
