Is hyper flash turn signals illegal.

Slowly flashing turn signals get people's attention but don't make them target-fixate. From a safety stand point I would leave it. If you care what people think get a flasher relay with adjustable resistance. A month ago, I added the sequential turn signal harness to the rear taillights as designed and initially the flash was normal as before. Last week, all of a sudden the flash has changed to a hyper flash 90% of the time. Should I add another load equalizer on each of the 4 rear taillight wiring or maybe on only 1 on each side.

Try putting a 15 ohm resistor in parallel with the light. To test this turn on the turn signal and put each side of the resistor across both sides of the connector. From what I understand, hyperflash harness is just to deal with front turn signals and it won't even stop hazards from hyperflashing. So there are some 3157 LEDs that are described as "no hyperflash", they have some internal circuitry as opposed to being dumb LEDs.
