I like the Gen4 grip frame better, but as you know the G30S uses the same size frame, just in Gen3 SF form instead of Gen4. The slide is thinner on the 30S as it uses a G36 slide (on a G30SF frame).

The G30S uses a unique slide stop/slide release which is also used in the G41 for their thinner slides. If you want to use a G30 or G29 upper on that frame you'll need to change the slide stop to Glock part# 5423.
