2008 VN1600 crank but no start. Hello all, new member here. Having a no start issue. Bike is a 2008 kawasaki vulcan nomad 1600. Currently has 66,447 miles on it. No modifications, all stock. Tank is half full of new gas. Battery is fully charged. I checked the voltage at the terminals when trying to start and it is reading 10.8v on my meter.Problem is if you hold the start button on long enough it will eventually start. ... Your bike has never had a starting problem. It has a running problem or ignition problem. The likelihood of the CDI being the issue is low. The switches, buttons and, wire terminal connectors however on a unit that sits outside fighting nature is more likely the cause.

Went to go visit a friend, shut the bike down and when I was ready to leave she wouldn't start. The battery went dead, so I bought a new one and she still wont start. Checked all the fuse's and connections. Still no luck.

Unfortunately, the battery is currently too low to turn the starter motor due to multiple start up attempts and accidentally leaving the ignition on.
