I think the Niros all used anti theft. When you first put the key in and turn it on does it show an orange key symbol on the dash for 2 seconds ? If it does then it does have a transponder key. This morning it was in the closed garage, no one had been out there to disturb it, yet it decided to alarm. I already knew it would go off by itself, so I just left it alone.
