There are a lot of people doing this swap in trucks that are destined to stay on the road and most of those swaps were done to achieve better mpg. An increase in mpg is a plus but I am more interested in the torque that a diesel can supply at lower revolutions.

I usually count on 32mpg for highway only. The manual transmaission makes all the difference for the 240D. Many things effect MPG.Nov 29, 2009. #1. My experience was 22-24 mpg on diesel and WVO with no discernible difference in power between the two. Gearing, weight of the vehicle, tires size, mod's etc. are all going to play into the equation. HE200 5cm² - This is the best turbo for a stock pump. Your max power isn't increased (much), but the increase in power from idle up to ~4000 RPM is extremely significant. It makes the OM617 behave like it's supercharged. It performs best in rock crawling, stop/go traffic, and highway speeds below 4000 RPM. This is not a good turbo for a 7.5mm ...The OM615 is just at the 4-cylinder version of the OM61x engine series, the OM616 being the 5-cylinder and the OM617 being the 6-cylinder versions.
