Torqhead offers a 24x coil near plug ignition upgrade for the LT1/LT4. It converts to the LS1 PCM so you can then use HP Tuners. Highly recommend the torque head or EFIconection swap. Torqhead 24x conversion. Can anyone who's running this system tell me if the LS3 PCM fits into the factory LT1 PCM mounting bracket and if the factory airbox will also still work. Looking to possibly do this conversion in the near future and want to make sure of everything I need to be aware of so I dont have any hidden surprises.A cap and rotor should be replaced every 40,000 miles. An opti that has been installed properly will last twice that long. I have always said, replacing an opti, or doing a cap and rotor on one is no more trouble than replacing a timing belt on a Toyota or a Honda. Like. D.
